Green Dams, Blue SkiesNorthwest RiverPartners’ Green Dams, Blue Skies initiative aims to raise awareness about the clean, green hydro system that powers the Northwest without clouding the region’s blue skies. Our objective is to educate and build allies among decision makers, businesses, and the general public in support of hydropower and its myriad economic and environmental benefits. Among its many benefits, hydropower does not emit greenhouse gases which are known to affect CLIMATE CHANGE. Hydropower is also vital to the Northwest to back up other, less reliable renewable resources.
